Sometimes an x-ray may be necessary. This allows us to see what is happening inside a tooth and the supporting bone. They will show up any signs of tooth decay and bone loss.
The amount of radiation is very low and using digital radiography as we do at this practice uses even smaller amounts.
We only take x-rays if they are needed
X-ray machines are checked regularly to ensure they only use the correct amount of radiation.
Digital x-rays appear on the computer screen instantly so we can make a diagnosis quickly.
We will never take an x-ray without patient consent and a discussion before this simple procedure.
